The Naperville Central High School Drumshow is one of Northen Illinois's premiere high school percussion ensembles (i.e. drums, etc.). In a style of BlueMan Group and STOMP, NCHS Drumshow features 8-13 high school students displaying high energy drumming and engaging musicianship on a number of different instruments. Every year our cast is lucky enough to have a renowned guest artist come in and work with us. This year we are enjoying the company of Mike Mixtacki, a founding member of the Yonofo Project, a project dedicated to the research, education, performance, and preservation of Arará---a music, culture and religion practiced in Matanzas, Cuba. A special addition to this year's show is the second annual "Instrument Petting Zoo". Tickets to the April 14th, Saturday 3:00 pm show (Matinee) include free admission for children of all ages to The Instrument Petting Zoo to experience, firsthand, the percussion instruments featured in this year's Drumshow!
